THE SUSTAINABLE FREELANCING

An open and safe space for Filipino freelancers to build a sustainable freelancing business
freelancing. mindset. lifestyle.

This might be YOU right now...

Exhausted, consistently

You can't seem to get out of the 'rat race.'

You feel like no matter how hard you work, and how many hours you put in, your income is still not enough for your needs and wants.

Oh, you also consider yourself a breadwinner of the family; if not, you're part of the major financial contributor.

Most of the days, you think to yourself:

"When will my situation change?"
"What am I doing with my life?"

"Is this all there is in life - school, graduate, and endless work?"

Now, you don't want to sound ungrateful because you currently have a job when most Filipinos are still looking for one.

It's just that you're looking for ways on how to improve your quality of life so you're actively seeking for opportunities to get out of the system.

You know deep down you can do it and you're meant for more but somehow when you share this with your family and friends, surprisingly, they are the ones pulling you down before you can even start.

Scared of failing, getting too comfortable in your comfort zone

You're scared of even trying because you don't want to see yourself fail.

Let me guess?

  • You're a person who's so hard or critical on yourself but very kind towards others

  • You feel like if you'll fail a few times, you're already a disappointment not just to yourself but to your entire family

  • You did try before but not only were you judged, you were also shamed by family and friends

  • It would've been okay to get out of your comfort zone once in a while but you're afraid of what other people might say or think about you

Think really hard and ask yourself, "Who's life am I living? Mine or theirs?"

You see, a lot of dreams instantly died or didn't even see light because:

  • it was shared to the wrong people

  • of the fear of what people will think/say

  • it was not genuinely supported by the people whom you thought would be there for you, always

Excited to try freelancing but unsure where, when and how to start

Let's go back to 2020. Personally, I can attest this was when freelancing made its peak!

Somehow, it was introduced to the world, especially to Filipinos when we were forced to stay at home. You did some research, and you've realized that it is possible to earn a decent income while working at home or literally anywhere, and even earn a 6-figure income -- so these piqued your interest!

I mean, what a way to live!

For sure, you've already witnessed or watched numerous testimonials from other Filipino freelancers who are now earning that much. What most of you forget to consider is the journey of getting there.

Most successful Filipino freelancers didn't earn that much right away, especially when they were still starting out, just like Demi Bernice and John Pagulayan (two of the Filipino freelancers I look up to).

This is why when they reached this amount of monthly earnings, success tasted really sweet and somehow unimaginable - posible pala!

To be clear, I'm not here to bait you to earn a 6-figure income - you know it IS already possible and I don't want to assume that all Filipinos who dive into the freelancing business are aiming for the same goal.

My biggest WHY is to help you create a sustainable freelancing business so you won't have to go back to the rat race, continue improving your quality of life and wishing you'll also pay it forward in the future.

Let's say you're now earning P50,000 (from earning P25,000 monthly 8 hours a day) - what would you do to maintain that? Or even surpass that?

Maybe right now, you're in the track to earn P100,000 from earning P50,000 monthly, how do manage that?

This is not just about finances. It's also about your mindset - changing it, shifting your belief system, doing the inner work so you don't let your ego rule, creating processes so you don't burn out to death, and everything in between.

Start here. Start right now even if you're not ready, yet!

Like you, I once dreamed of FREEDOM...

Looking back, freedom to me didn't only mean financially.

It also meant the freedom to spend more time getting to know myself instead of constantly believing what other people tell me that I am - what my strengths are, my weaknesses, what my future should be!?

I craved for the freedom to slow things down when I want to and because I just want to without having to explain myself. I wanted to put things into perspective and to start living my life in my own terms.

Growing up, I was groomed to follow the 'tradition.'

For years, I believed the 'normal' set by society and my family's previous generations - to graduate, to get a job with a decent pay, and then live!

But then, I had to lose my job at the height of the pandemic for me to start unlearning years of unhelpful and unhealthy narratives - and this is when I discovered the world of FREELANCING.
